Wt. After Melt Down

Last Week in 2 days I melted down 336 Lbs. of wheel Wts. I took my clips to the junk yard and had 49 lbs. of clips, Got 6 Cent a pound. Total lead after melt down , 287 Pounds. Asked them how much they paying for lead, $.020 a lb. If you buy lead from them about $.049 , Joe

i hate buying ww's at scrap price cause i know i am buying steel too.

I called the scrap yard today looking for some large truck wheels to make tool stands from and asked about WWs. 85 cents a pound. Still too high.
