About 4 weeks ago I sent off my C&R FFL application. I know these things can take a while, but they haven't even charged my card yet. I'm starting to wonder if it even made it to them. Should I call them? From what I've read basically everywhere, they usually charge the card within a week or two. It's the one thing they do with any level of efficiency.

anywhere from 3 weeks to 3 months is normal. it all depends on who's desk it lands on i think. my first one took a tad over 3 months. renewals were less than a month.

My renewal this year took over three months. Be patient.

I renewed my FFL a year hand a half ago. Sent in the payment by check. After a month they cashed it and issued a new license two days later. The applications sit on a desk until they get to em.

Call your congressman. That is unacceptable. Make noise.
Why are you waiting on incompetents? Again make noise or wait. Trust me making noise by your congressman will be speedy on it. BTDT

There's such thing as a competent bureaucrat?

I guess I'll just have to be patient. It would be nice if they at least acknowledged that they got it though.

Got a letter and part of my application back. I'm an idiot, I forgot to sign next to my credit card info... [smilie=b:
