Weapon was hydra dipped camo
It doesnít look bad but I prefer the factory finish.
It can probably be removed using carb cleaner but not sure.
It comes with a factory wooden buttstock and five mags.

I originally sold this to him years ago. He shot maybe four or five mags out of it. Which is ironically about the same amount I shot out of it before I sold it to him.

He is asking $600 shipped
Weapon will come from a individual not a FFL holder.

PM any questions.

First I take it in this thread gets it.

Is it the camo dip?
I told him it would lower the resale price

I would say yes it is the Camo dip. With the camo dip I am still interested for a lower price.

Fyi the attachment of the wood quick detach stock make the gun a short barreled rifle.I know it makes no sense but I was schooled by an atf friend on.my Uzi.Screw the stock somehow so it can't be removed by a button and it's good to go.

Bump anyhow for a nice rifle at a fair price..very tempting

IIRC if the barrel is over (is it 16" or 18"?) it's not short barreled; Contenders, if you start with a short barrelled pistol, you can swap barrels to a long one then add a stock & that's legal, then pull the stock before swapping back to the short barrel and its all legal. But don't take a hacksaw to cut that barrel to the usual UZI length before you get a tax stamp...

Unless you have a state law (which ATF doesn't control) regulating overall length then there's no law against a 16" barreled pistol. Overall length with the stock in it's shortest useable configuration and barrel length from bolt face to the end of the muzzle or permanently attached muzzle device is what matters.

It has a folding stock on it now.
It is NOT a NFA item.
The barrel is 16 inches long and rifled.
Regardless of the overall length, the barrel length and that its rifled makes it a title 1 firearm.
If it was smooth bore or shorter then 16 inches then it would be a NFA item but itís not.

Not interested in trades.

My friend needs the money.
If it wasnít camo dipped I would place the market value of the entire package around $750.
That includes the 5 mags and the wooden buttstock.

I have one those rifles and they are great shooting carbines. Here are a couple of factoids.

1. When measuring the overall length of a rifle with a folding stock, it is measured with the stock extended to determine legality. The the folding stock expended the Norinco carbine is not a short barrel rifle.

2. The wood stock is shorter than the extended folding stock, but it is still withing the legal limits and again is not a short barrel carbine.

The rifle for sale as shown is legal and is not a short barrel rifle. Whoever camo-dipped that carbine should be shot at sunrise, but that does not affect the function. The UZI and the Norinco clone are 100% reliable, plenty accuracy to roll beer cans at 100 yards and the extra velocity gained in the longer barrel raises the 9mm to a power range of the 38 Super round. They are a nifty short carbine of sufficient power and make an excellent home defense carbine.

My only complaint about the Norinco was the sharp edged on the cocking knob. I put on a UZI cover and the cocking knob edges are not sharp and the cut hands went away.

Addendum: I should have noted that the Norinco stock is not detachable like the parent UZI. It is a bolt on set up. This is significant because it extend the over all length well beyond the AFT no-no rules.
