I have an old model 45 Lyman Lube Sizer. The design of the "piston" that pushes the lube down was poor to start with and mine leaks badly. I understand that the model 450 has a better design that doesn't leak and will work in the 45. What is this part actually called so that I can order one?

Pressure Nut #2990146.

Here is the link to the page on their site that shows the brekdown of parts too. They have great service. At least with me.

http://www.lymanproducts.com/lymanproducts/index.htm

click the "button" at the top of the page that says casting and scroll dwn to the 4500 sizer and beyond. There is a link that says something like "Instructions for older 450 model". Click that and scroll down until you get to the blowup illustration just past the illustration of the newest 4500.

It takes 2 o-rings which you will have to purchase too. Buy extra. I just did the same thing to my 45. Wow! what a difference.

Yeah, that's a great idea to get a couple of extra O-rings as I had a rough time getting some at the hardware store & they don't fit very well even so. the ones from Lyman work!
