Dear friends

I would like to know your suggestions on NEO HTC278-103-RF-BY4 which drops 103 grain .278 bullets with .725 height
(is it to short for my rifle?)

Im going to cast for my 1:12 twist 270 win

I appreciate your suggestions

It would not be too short for my rifle, but there are three things you can do to see if it might fit your rifle. 1)Chamber cast your rifle, 2)the dowel rod method Rcmaveric has detailed to check overall length and slug your barrel, or lastly, 3)buy the mold, slug your barrel, and seat the boolit long and continue to seat it deeper until it is just off the lands.

I have tried a couple of different molds in my 270 and have found best accuracy so far with Lee 277-135 RF.

With 130 or 150gr designs with lube grooves, 16gr 4227 or 22gr 4198 work. I don’t have a 100gr mold. And that is a powder coated design. Would like to see your results.
