Monarch Butterflies

The Monarchs are coming thru my yard (North Central Ohio) in pretty
significant numbers today.

Headed north. I guess this is the third generation.

When they get to their northernmost range, they will hatch the fourth generation
which will fly south and winter in Mexico.

I saw one on my patio a week ago. That was the first sighting that I can remember in yrs.

We collect the eggs (on milkweed)....and watch them through the chrysalis stage and then release the mature butterflies. Its always been fun for the kids...and...I must admit...for us adults too.
