She's a beauty. I must admit my taste runs to longer legs on females. What's her name? Is her nationality Long Haired Daschund?

Her name is Sophie she is my tree rat hunter, she comes and gets me when there is one in my pecan tree and points it out. I missed one the other day and she , the tree rat came down the trunk and hit the ground running, but Sophie got her and broke its neck and came and laid it at my feet. And yes she is Dachshund and as most very determined.

Very nice Dachshund. Wife has 2 males, one red and one sable. Neat dogs and very protective.

The breed was used in Germany to go down badger ( Dachs) holes and fight the badger face to face. They will not back down from anything even a charging German Shepard. A very loyal friend. Ours was a wire hair that followed the wife here when they left their homeland for the U S.

Our Grey did'nt know squat when we got her......now I'm the cook, butler and driver, the wife is house keeper and belly scratcher..........the hound just watches for tree rats and birds............oh yea, then I'm the door man to let her out:-D
