Well 9 threads today where I replayed to someone’s post and then the thread died! And a post I thought was interesting enough to put up and not one reply. Anyone else ever feel like the champion thread killer?

I've killed a few...but by time I posted it was on it's way south anyway..

Some start pretty nutty and you just know that they aren’t getting any more reasonable as time passes.

Threads have to Stay Dead for a while before you can claim Thread Killer. Even then someone can drag it up years later and blow your title. LOL

Don’t look at it as killing a thread; look at it as completing a thread. Once you’ve added your input, there’s really nothing left for anyone else to say.

There, now I’ve completed this thread. It’s done. Nobody else post now.

This might be the best way to view a thread that comes to a screeching halt.
You put the cherry on the top of the conversation!

There is also a point is some threads where you can tell the thread is headed south. At that point, I unsubscribe from notices and leave it to die a negligent death.

I believe the number is 3 on threads that didn't die after my comment but were closed.

I have a long history of threads left dead and decaying behind me.

I call the thread killing post. Show stoppers. Had a few of them myself.

I imagine you folks would consider Mods closing a thread as cheating, for this title :P

............Well so this thread is up to 20 responses and it ain't "Daid Yet". I take a bit of a "Proud Parent" attitude for a thread I started several years ago that STILL gets one tacked on every now and then. It started as a story pirated about the Asperly Aimless, about 14 years ago?

It HAS wandered afield now and again......................
