I was in at a local shop yesterday a noticed a left handed made in japan flintlock. Did a little research online and found that Dixie gunworks had imported these. It's a 50 cal. seems to be in pretty good shape. Thinking about it, but wanted to see if any of you had any knowledge, and or experience with these. Any info would be appreciated. Asking price is $450.00??? Seem reasonable?

Wish I could see it. I'm a lefty shooter, but shoot a TC Renegade RH gun without a problem. If it is made by Miroku, it is probably quality built. Price seems in line.

450 seems high to me for a used flinter. Make sure it sparks good. The lock is the heart of a flint rifle. The other parts can be mediocre but if the lock doesn't spark good, the gun is useless.

There have been many variations. The most common was the Dixie Gun Works rifle, but others are out there, including 66 caliber rifles. Many were sold as kit. Most were stocked in cherry.
