This happens to be a made in 1970 Winchester 94 that was bored to 38-55 by the gentleman in Oregon. This started out as a 30-30 truck gun for the ranch and got bucked around a lot and even tho it shot extremely well for a 30-30 levergun but it looked like the devil. I sent the frame, lever and hammer to Bobby's guns in Texas to be color case hardened. The mainframe came out looking somewhat odd in color but far better than it did before he got it. You can see in the pics. The wood on the stock is better than average, with a steel butplate. Front wood is nice, a slight looseness can be felt. I had the barrel refinished in a sort of antique blue, looks aged, but no issues with rust. Front ramp had been beat up a bit but holds the front site and sort of matches the feel of the carbine. The magazine tube looks almost too new and blue but I didn't want to fool with it not knowing how it would come out. All in all it should be a good shooting carbine but due to shoulder issues I can't seem to shoot it without flinching(mostly Unique and 2400 lead loads). Only shot cast in this rifle. I have over $700 into the mods but I would be happy with $650 shipped to ffl, in the lower 48. I am always happy to trade, at this time I would be happy with a shooter Win 92 or Super Blackhawk old model in good condition. Thanks for looking, my loss is your gain.
