I have a Reichsrevolver that has a generous bore, .437+ , anyone have a mold that throws that big?? A 240 gr or heavier would be about right.
thanks

I had an accurate mold that threw fat bullets. http://castboolits.gunloads.com/showthread.php?359172-WTS-Accurate-Mould-434240a-434240ag

Well, I ended up selling it on ebay as there wasnt any interest here at the time. Wish I coulda sold to you! But I still have some of the bullets. Plain base. You can have them if you pay shipping. I think, there is a couple inches deep of them in a small coffee can. Maybe 100. Should fit in a small flat rate box and go for 8 bucks if you want them.

I'll let you know how many I have to see if its worth your trouble. They are wheel weight alloy.

That sounds promising, if they are at least .436 is an un-sized state they might work. the softer alloys would be preferable though. See what you have and we'll go from there.

thanks

I have 73. The ones I measured run .437. All are plain based version.

If you have any use for 30 caliber bullets, I have some RCBS 30-180-FN that I sized .309 and lubed and checked. I had put them on the PIF, but the claimer ended up wanting the sizing die instead. I have 102 of them, and if you have a use for them, i'd be glad to give them to you also so that shipping is not such a killer.

I got the .437s loaded after some hoop jumping with the 44 Russian seating die, (bullet OD/die ID, the crimp ring is smaller than the bullet dia.) I had to size the bottom driving band to .431 leaving the top bands at .437 just to get it to seat in the case, then remove the bell on the case mouth with an old steel 44mag size die. When I tried to use it full diameter, the case expanded to much to chamber the round, hence the two diameter heeled style approach. 3.5 grs of trailboss and the test groups were consistent a 3" at 15yds, 6" high and 4" left. Not real great for hitting what you aim at. I had loaded some .430 dia 240gr RNFP that I have lots of just to see what the difference would be, darn things shot the Exact same point of aim as the .437s and only opened the group by a half inch. I guess I'll just load the RNFP and hold on the elbow for a head shot..... Thanks Bazoo

Lordy, that is some windage for sure. Glad I could be of at least some assistance.
