Greetings Fellow Casters and Hunters,

Mihec 454-340 Cramer HP
This is a new run that should prove to be useful in 45 Colt, 454 Casull, 460 SW, and 450 Bushmaster. It will cast at 0.452" OR 0.454", 0.380" meplat to crimp groove and a 0.360" meplat.

Would be available in 4-cav HP Brass, 4-cav Solid Brass, or 6-cav Solid Aluminum. (Choose GC or PB)

It needs 12 buyers to commit to this thread before it goes active, and 25 HP buyers gets Miha cutting molds

Extra molds should be available... order them by PM to MiHec. Invoices will be sent out via e-mail from the listed addresses and you pay by using Paypal...... Invoice will be in Euros which Paypal converts from Euros to dollars. After you pay, the mold gets shipped.

Large HP weighs 325gr.
How is this possible since the large HP boolit should weigh less than the small HP boolit? Ive just never seen this happen before.

A little off topic but I'll ask anyway. Can Miha leave out the little bottle of sprue lube? I've got a drawer full of those little bottles. I wouldn't care if the price didn't change, I just can't bring myself to throw away something that was given to me in a spirit of helpfullness.

Thanks! I'll stick with the solid. I've got several of Miha's HP molds although not in that weight. I'm just looking for something to play with heavy weight boolits in .454 and 5 shot .45's.

I talked to Miha this morning and he said no problem on getting the second mold without pins. I'm not certain on the cost though. I'll put you down for the mold and we will try and get him to give a cost. You can always change you mind if there is no advantage to it.

Hi Nhyrum, in this case, your mold was already being included in the count of 24. so putting the pins on, won't put us over the top. We need 1 more person to get this into last call.... Alrighty, count me in as 25! I have a 330 gr version of this mold from Miha from 2010 and have been shooting whitetail and hogs with it both in a ruger 45 colt and with a sabot in a 50 cal BP rifle. It works great but I'd love to have the HP version.

Hi Lefty- this is a slightly modified, based off a very proven design. I left the ogive and crimp position identical, but have put a small radius on the nose, to do exactly what you are asking about, which is improving feed on a lever. This mold is the first time its been made, so no one will really be able to give you data, until Miha ships these to us all... And that should start shipping next month.

Talked to Miha yesterday and he is having trouble with his HP pin supplier. The brass and alum blocks are all sized up, he is just waiting for pins to finish making the molds. I didnt get a date, but im sure it will be finished soon. Hang in there please...

good stuff, thank you for the update!he may want to talk with New Jersey Steel Baron for any odd sized custom alloy pin stock. not sure but they may be able to help, they primarily cater to the knife industry but work a lot with U.S. and german based foundries and also have a lot of contacts in the steel world in general. tell em shane said to call. :)

Miha is working on this, as i mentioned in another thread, he has about 6 GBs that are backed up because his pin supplier is not getting the pins made in the time they quoted. Miha is pushing them daily and he is also looking to purchase a CNC lathe that would allow him to make the pins internally.

Im hopeful that the backlog will be fixed soon, but i dont have any specific date at this point.

Talked to Miha this morning, This GB along with several others, will be finished and shipped in Sept.

ALSO- he will be shipping DHL exclusively, all molds starting next week. The standard ship is just taking too long... there will be a small increase in cost, but it will be worth the faster ship of 3 business days.
