What's up with the pop-up advertisements?

Why are we getting pop-up advertisements linked to some posts? Click on Scrounger's 94 scope thread and put your cursor on one of the words double-underlined in green in the responses to see what I'm talking about. Tony

Unfortunatly I think you got hit with some type of virus or spyware Anthony. That happened to me quite a while back.. Had to use McAfee to get rid of it.. Has nothing to do with this site though I can assure you.

I use firefox as my web browser and have never had a pop-up on this sight. I think you might have some spy-ware on your machine. Check it with a few web spy-ware checkers like Spybot search and destroy. http://www.safer-networking.org/index2.html

Then install FireFox http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/ and never use Internet explorer again! Its an old web browser that Microsoft tries to patch up for spy-ware like a water bottle hit by a shotgun.

As many viruses are made to exploit Internet Explorer, Firefox is immune to them. It is also more secure. And faster.

Well, I posted that from my DoD work computer while my boss was reviewing some stuff. Looks like we got hacked...
