I have several pounds of the stuff that I might as well burn pushing cast boolits downrange. It is AA8700 speed by the way.

Several Contender calibers too.

These are my choices to burn it in.

What are your suggestions, suggested loads?

.........If that is like WC72 or 860 (which say to use H8700 data then:

6.5x57. In the 6.5x55 Swede good for cast @ 32-35 grs. Full power for jacketed with a caseload, ie: 140gr Hornady 2700 fps/24" bbl.

7x57. Should try about 42.0grs to give a 172gr cast slug 1775 fps. A full caseload will send a 175gr jacketed slug off at 2450 fps/29" bbl

30-06. Full case and a Ly 311284, 311299, 311291 all will be about 2200 fps. Loaded down use a ground poly filler for cleaner burning.

8x57. Getting to the outside of the efficiency envelope. Should do well and clean with any moderate to heavy slug. In mine a full case sends a 240gr cast lead slug off at 1950 fps. Burns very clean.

45-70. Pretty useless. That is unless you use a casefull as a filler for 3 to 5 grs of H4198 :D

The slow burning stuff is best suited for heavier bullets and I woul choose the 7mag, 30-06, and 8x57 with heavey bullets.
