Where to get help with prices?

Hello all,

I have a supply of lead that I want to sell locally and was hoping to get help with pricing. My thread was removed from another sub forum here that perhaps was perceived as me attempting to sell there?

Anyway, where would be the appropriate place to ask for help with pricing? I would like to keep the lead in the shooting community, which is why I have come here.

Pure lead seems to be around $2 a pound, wheelweight and range lead about $1, and type metal from $2 to $3 per pound depending on what it is. These are the prices I commonly see, it varies by location. Craigs List is a good place for local sales.....and free!

My local metal recycling place charges $0.35/lb for hard lead and $1.00/lb for soft lead, including sheet lead from roofs, walls, and pipe.

To be honest your above post is on the edge.
You only have 1 post so you couldn't list it for sale is S&S because of the 30/30 rule.
We (as in the CB staff) have found that 90% of the 'feeler' threads turn into sale threads. Members will either post on the thread with their desires or they will send PMs.
This bypasses the blocks we have in place (like 30/30 for example).

Most of the items that are sold on CB can be priced out either by looking in Completed deals, Ebay, or Gunbroker.
You are trying to find the price of lead. That's easy to figure out.

There is NO reason to ask what the price is for lead as on CB there is a lot that has been sold and there is ALWAYS someone selling lead.
If you can't figure out a price then your either very lazy or you are trying to covertly sell the lead because you are unable to post a WTS in the correct forum.
I suppose that you could also be a member that can't navigate their way around the board and its features. That has happened too.
Either way, you have a handful amount of links above that will get you pricing.
