Hello,

As many of you know, YouTube has pretty much abandoned its gun enthusiast members.

I got to looking around, and found TheGunTube.com .

TheGunTube.com was created specifically with us in mind. Anyone can make an account and post, or just view.

I don't see any trackers on the website. This should appeal to those of us who do not like advertising; YouTube is terrible for data mining.

My TheGunTube.com account is at https://theguntube.com/view_channel.php?user=Smith-Sights . I've begun uploading my Mosin-Nagant tech videos.

I should probably note that I have no financial stake in the place, and this is a public service announcement only. I feel that TheGunTube.com is a site worth of consideration; it's something that's been needed for a while now.

I just bookmarked the site, and will check it out in depth at work tonight. It looks like it's in its infancy. I hate Google.

Another platform for firearms and related videos is Utah Gun Exchange Videos and website that looks to be very promising. Some might want to check them out for an alternative to the "tube".

Is it like full30 where all the big dogs are there, but only they can post videos or is it like youtube USED to be where anyone could post a video without censorship?

Largest number of views for any video I could find was 148. With 19 pages of videos.

Pretty sad.

UgeTube looks to be the new leader and is very familiar feeling...

They are shutting down today ( I joined yesterday... :???: ) and telling folks to go to yet another host site.

Attention users,

We will be ceasing operations soon for TheGunTube.com

Although it may seem like a very short time, we have actually been working on TheGunTube.con for over 7 months.

We have been in contact with GunStreamer.com and feel like they would be a better site for the gun community.

Please note that with TheGunTube.com, we did not want simply to be the first to market to make money. We wanted a place for the Gun Community to upload their videos in a simple manner.

Whether if it was us, Full30, Gunstreamer or whoever, we wanted to help in the transition.

We have bugs and features that simply would take way too long and too much money that it is out of our range to do so.

GunStreamer has minimal bugs and more features than we have, so we are passing the baton to them and are going to help them in every way possible.

Thank you to all of the great channels. Please note that there are many other GunTube type sites that will rise and fall. This is simply the nature of a transition this massive.

We are very certain that GunStreamer will offer everything we all need.

In the coming week, we will redirect all traffic from TheGunTube.com to GunStreamer.com

Not a computer guy and having trouble figuring out how to get the UGEtube videos to show in a thread like the videos from Youtube do.

The UGEtube videos only will show up as a clickable link for some reason...??

It seems to have the same feel as YouTube to me when I go to the "home" button or link. I think we might have a nice alternative here on Utah Gun Exchange for viewing and posting freedom loving videos of all sorts and flavors (reloading vids anyone?) :castmine:
