Sort of along the same lines as the Wipe-out posting.....I have recently read about a bore coating that has been getting good reviews. It's a one time treatment and is to greatly reduce copper, carbon etc. build up in a barrel making it easier to clean and to allow fewer cleanings. It's from Dyna-Tek.com. I think when I get caught up I'll give it a try. I don't mind cleaning guns but I'd like to try it.

I checked the website. I wonder if it might be the answer to old milsurp rifles that have sewer pipe bores. We would probably have to electrostatically clean them before applying the cote to insure that all residue it removed first.

It may very well be Jim. You could try JB cleaner first also because it works well. Some guns seem to foul easier than others so it may be a great product.
