Free Lee 4-20 parts

I was working on my lee 4-20 today, just a general decrusting, I managed to cross thread the jam nut on the valve/spout. I decided it was time to just get new parts, went to Lee's website added 1 valve $3.50, 1 jamnut $0.50, 1 rod$3.00 , and 1 valve assembly$6.00 to my cart. Went to check-out and they all showed up free (0.00), all I had to pay was $8.15 shipping. Makes me wonder what else I could got for free in that order? They can't be making money off this, the cost of postage, plus paying someone to pick the order and box it up.

That is Lee's new procedure to replace broken/defective parts. It appears to be on the honor system. I bet if a person abuses it, that person's order may get canceled, or something?

Sometimes it's cheaper to ship them the bad parts and they will send you new parts AND pay for the return shipping.

They only allow 1 of any part per order without prior consent.

It's their way of standing behind their products.

See....Lee's not so bad , for all the bad mouthing they get they have pretty good customer service.
I had to pay for each and every Lyman 450 part , plus postage, I ordered recently....spent a lot of money on worn out parts. Maybe Lee will make a lube sizer one day !

The handle on my 4-20 came loose almost as soon as I got it. It's not that big a deal, but annoying.

I need to see if they can send me one. Would certainly be worth a few dollars.

BTW, just noticed that the parts I ordered are different from what my 4-20 came with, lee had an engineering change that eliminated the flow control screw, by threading the rod end, and corresponding hole in the valve assembly.
This will make it easier to put a wieght on the rod, I just wish I had ordered that new heavy steel handle.
