It's 1:30 pm, Friday and the first bands of Hanna are moving into Charleston. Moderate to heavy rain in drifts and moderate winds. Eye landfall is predicted for tonight at or around McClellanville(North of Charleston).

5 PM-
Raining hard. Wind picking up. Hanna is moving 20 MPH on a northerly track. That's haulin' butt for a tropical storm. Lights are still on and we're fixin' supper. Mom's OK.

Shooter,
According to the National Hurricane Center, the mass of the storm is supposed to be off the coast of N.Y. by Sunday morning.

Jim,
Stay safe and good luck, Hanna went by us today (St. Marys) and was not as bad as N'easters we used to get in Tidewater, VA..........a little rain and a few breezes............was a good reason to stay in the shop and cast Boolits, size them and .45 cases:drinks:

Fell asleep to heavy rain at midnight. 1.1 inches in the gauge this AM. overcast but no rain/wind. Humid as heck too. I guess last night was just a "test". Supposed to be here this PM, will keep ya posted if comcast stays on-seems a flea fart can take the cable out for hours though!!! [smilie=b: ....Bill

Morning Jim.

Ain't even hardly wet here this AM. No wind to speak of. Looked bad across the river on the Radar. Come on out if you've a mind to.

Coming west of us at about 2pm. So far heavy rain yesterday, winds maxing around 40 mph today, predicting gusts to 60mph. Not all that bad. We've had worse from Nor'Easters.

Right now only some bands of wind with very little rain involved. We are on the east side of the storm so will get the worst, still not that bad.

JIM; You're right--it wasn't much here either. We got 1.6 inches of rain since I dumped the gauge this AM, but less than predicted wind (20-30 MPH I guess). The radar shows the main bands north of me now, so I guess it's just rain for a few more hours. I like it when the nasty storms blow out pretty much before they get here!:)
