`Quite often I would like to include a photo with my response, however, the only way that is possible is if the photo is stored on the internet, thus it has a URL. I know Photobucket is no longer the answer. What website will store my photos so I can show them on castboolits?

You can upload the photo's to this site from your computer or camera, no need for internet hosting.

Yes, sometimes I can, but, often I do not have the choice to upload from my computer only from a URL.

imgur is one possibility, but I am not sure how long images put up there last offhand. Anyone know?

I recently switched to imgur too! It was a little different than photobucket and took me a little while to get onto it. I need to learn to use the album part of this site!

I find that I can put pictures on this site if I use a setting labeled VGA on my camera. I get the impression that the file size must be pretty small and the VGA setting complies with the size requirement, and works. 215477

There is an eagle on a nest in the picture, it's The white dot in the center. Flamingo Florida.

I managed to get some pics onto Imgur, it certainly isn't intuitive, at least not for me, but now how do you get them onto the forum (S&S)?
After reading some of the stickies, am I correct in that a preview of the post, the pic will not show? Only until after you submit the post?
Usually I can muddle my way through it, but right now it's not working.

While in the 'Reply' dialogue box...

Select 'insert image' (3'rd from the right above)
Select the 'URL' from that box

Go to imgur and click on the picture you want...select/copy the 'url' address in the second box from the top.
Paste it to the image 'URL' box. Select 'OK'.

Preview your post before you post it here.

You can highlight the 'URL' and choose it's location in the post...left, center or right.

I think that's how you do it...I'ma dinosaur too when it comes to these computers.

If you upload directly from your computer, you're only allowed so much data then you can't upload more without deleting some
