Has anyone created a 10 station progressive by grafting two presses together?

This idea has been kicking around in my head for a while now. Then I see a stripped down LnL ap for sale near me for 100$ and I find myself thinking about it again. Seems possible and wouldnt that be neat?

I dunno, sure maybe excessive, but I can see using up more stations if we can be greedy. I still miss my powder check. Besides, if it worked it would look cool in action.

Or you could just buy one of mine with the LnL Feature and quickly the dies and then you could have as many stations as you wanted.

Best not to re invent the wheel when there is a nice one sitting right in front of you.

I like your tool and if I ever achieve my dream of living in a van down by the river I’ll probably buy one. Until then I don’t see the harm in wasting time and money tinkering.

The Herter's Model 234 Turret Press came with 6 stations and I have seen enterprising folks go between each station and add another threaded hole. Would 12 stations be enough for you?? IIRC, Lyman is also making a 6 station turret press, so you might be able to adapt that one as well. People I knew wanted to set up for 3 four die or 4 three die sets to reload multiple calibers without adjustment.

The Ponsness / Warren Metal Matic P-200 has 10 stations , I'm not sure when they started production , they are listed in the 1995 Handloaders Digest but I'm sure they went back farther than that.
Saw where P/W brought them back in 2015....if you would like to get one already de-bugged.

At the Ponsness / Warren site they list it at a cost of $350.00 ... that's not a bad deal.

Well a turret press is a far cry from a progressive though. I don’t see any advantage to a 10 station turret press. The concept of a progressive is that it does multiple operations to multiple cases with each pull.

I only own 1 press, a 10 year old LEE classic cast. I’ve swapped out die bodies so many times setting up the next die is fast and easy, I don’t fear it like I did when I first started to reload.
I don’t think I would enjoy reloading if all my dies sets were locked into big tool heads like on progressive presses.

I have one of those too and won’t trade it for anything.
