i bought a lee 150 gr 358 rn fb mold . casted one day a little slow , only using the one 6 cav. mold. the bullets were filled out good. the next day i pushed it . as soon as the spru was hard enugh to cut i did. i cool the spru under a fan. the bullets were not as good looking and when i went to size them some were under size to the point some bands were not tuching the sizer. i know i had it hot but thought it would fill out better . is the bullet srinking in the mold from being to hot? both days i used the same lead mix and pot temp.

If the sprue cools too fast (or is cut prematurely), then wouldn't that prevent the cavities from drawing in additional metal as they cool?

that could be what happened. i will use it again going slower to see if they come out right again.
