1894, Krag, full military configuration with Redfield, no drill sight, with hunter knobs. I bought this rifle because I really enjoy my carbine and this one had a perfect bore. I've had it for a while and find I still always grab the carbine heading out the door. This a shooter and not a collector. Someone, at some point in it's life, inlaid an inch and a half, elongated ivory diamond on the under side of the rifle. This has bean very nicely done but it has bean done. I've only shot it a few times with lite loads for my other Krag and it seams to love the 313299.
I'm asking 650 shipped the way it sits with the sight. If someone just wanted the rifle without the sight - something can be worked out. Being an 1894 this one ships direct I believe. The only thing I'm looking for in trade would be a USGI M1 carbine shooter.

If someone was willing to post a few pictures for me, it would be much appreciated.

Here's the pics. I'd take it in half a heartbeat if I had the funds, I just bought a nice 1916 Berthier https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20180118/f36458b19f78d4622348edb5f6f503f5.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20180118/4067bd2c0a1c5b02db61ec7657c74d51.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20180118/64ccdb9141718527defdfcc375cf3541.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20180118/6d468bcf482c5c600e99617ada2d575d.jpg

Well they’re fine cast boolit guns. Mine is fairly pitted but shoots when you fill up the pits. I can shoot 20-30 rounds and not have issues with lead build up from the pitting.

Like Enfields the groove depth varies but not quite as far.

The bore on this one looks like a mirror. The story on the rifle was that two brothers came back from WW2 and bought a ranch in new Mexico together. From a local gunshop, they went through the many surplus rifles and each picked out a Krag. When they got home they noticed right away, while sighting in, that one rifle shot far better groups than the other. The rifles claim to fame came when, on a bet, the owner shot a jack rabbit from the front porch at 200 yards. I purchased the rifle from that gentleman's daughters husband.

Good morning
Thank you for posting that history of this Krag.
This is our first 1894. Have a couple 96's and 98's and one lowly 02 model. Bores are all sorts of diameters. Largest takes .316 to get minute of ground hog groups. Only one the 02 will shoot a under .312 diameter well.
