That is just ugly, but seems to be happening more and more with them. :-(

That's bad, when quality control is like that I'd think twice about buying from them.

Are they that careless with their loaded ammo?

Ugh. NOT good. I would expect more excitement than I like at ALL should someone load & fire one of those... Another brand I had 1 in a few thousand that had a neck almost-crack flaw (I forget the name of those - like the rightmost of those 5 rounds) in 243 but I'll just turn that into a 45ACP shotshell & light powder load due to the rifle primer it came with... Definitely they need to fix their act & replace those.

Last Winchester brass I bought was .220 Swift 200 case ( 2 100 packs). I started loading it and got the first bullet seated. decided to check it in my Number 1 ( I had measured shoulder height and checked sized cases in the rifle) The loaded round wouldn't chamber. the necks were all to thick and had to be neck turned to be useable in my rifle. Ive talked to several that have had issues with Win brass the last few years..

Another bag of 50 Win 300 Mag cases ... this time 19 of the 50 cases the necks were split and deep creases. That makes 55 out of 150 cases are total defects!

When I was young, I realized that Norma brass and US govt brass was best, followed by Remington then Winchester. Federal was last. Based on what you just showed me, I'll consider Win brass inferior to Federal rifle brass by a margin.

Winchesters brass quality has been going down for a while. Their 223 brass splitting the case necks on the first firing caused me to buy an annealing machine. What to do??? Remington's specs are all over the place! FC gets loose primer pockets with only a few firings! Lapua does not make brass for every caliber! Norma does not seem to be as good as it once was!

Looks like they are going down the same road Lyman did;
Outsourcing, poor quality control.
What's their customer service like?

Maybe just a defect in their 300 Mag dies. I have bought 1000's of pieces of Win brass and nothing like that ever showed up. Recently purchase a 100 pieces of 300 BLK and other than the normal case mouths being dented, it looks like great brass.

Not unique to the 300 wm, I purchased 100 pieces of win brass for my .338 wm and got several that looked like those in the op's post. When I buy brass again I will try some other brand. It would seem that quality control has slipped a little.

Well, the final saga of the Winchester 300 Win Mag defective cases is:
* Called last Friday - Customer Service - "Oh, well'l mail you a check in a couple of weeks for $84. If I held my breath, I'd be dead
Went online and found these once fired cases ... https://www.etsy.com/listing/593207873/300-win-mag-once-fired-military-brass?gpla=1&gao=1&utm_campaign=shopping_us_Brassey_sfc_osa&utm_medium=cpc&utm_source=google&utm_custom1=0&utm_content=10709199&gclid=EAIaIQobChMInLS-rbi12QIVECOBCh2WHAPVEAQYASABEgKO9vD_BwE
* Bought 50 - they are Federal 11
* Arrived today and chamber tested one - No Go - presume military sniper once fired
* FL sized and tried again - No Go, the web on the cases has a large diameter at the web
* Adjusted sizer die down further - thin sliver of brass was sizing off at the web
* Chambered the rounds - All chambered nicely
Observation: The federal cases were extruded with thicker walls ... Quality!

That's All Folks!
