FS: Sako L579 AII-1 Action

For sale is a Sako L579 AII-1 Action (243 - 308 Class). This action has never been barrelled or blued. I bought this about 40 years ago with the intention of building a 243 Ackley Improved, but it never came to fruition. Now it is just collecting dust and taking up room. The action is in the white with some minor rust on the trigger guard bow, but the rest of the action is as new. Asking $575.00 plus shipping to your FFL, or FTF in northeast Ohio.

In 1975 I purchased the round top Browning Sako barreled action in 243. It had the Browning style three step barrel. Killed 40 or 50 deer with it and a couple hundred coyote. Loved that rifle but I was offered way more money than it was worth so I stupidly sold it to pay for a Benelli Super Black Eagle in 1996 or 1997.

I built my wife's .250 Savage on a round top Sako. No better action ever built IMO.
