Hi,

Presently shooting my CVA Elite Stalker in .243 cal.
She likes the RCBS 95 Gr. bullet with 20 Gr. of IMR 3198.
Have it zeroed at 100 hundred yards, shooting 2 1/2 inch groups.
Thinking about playing around with it out to 200 yds, maybe further, just to see how it does.
Anyone else shoot a 243 out that far with cast bullets?

Vearl,
Been shooting the NOE 246-105FN sized to .246"-.2465 and Ben's Red for lube out of two different .243 Wins. One is a mid '70 Rem 700 and the other a 15 year old Browning A-Bolt. I get good accuracy out of both all the way to 200yds. The Browning always outshoots the Remington regardless of bullet but both are under 1" at 100 and will stay under 3" all the time at 200yds.

Using COWW+1% and either 17gr RL-7 or 13gr 2400. OAL is 2.720" which is way off the lands but gets all lube grooves in the neck. The jump seemed to remove a lot of the way-out flyers. The RL-7 gives me 1830fps and the 2400 is a bit slower, but I can't remember what. Took me a while to get a load that would shoot out of two rifles. The Rem shoots fine slower, but the A-Bolt has a 1-10 twist and needed a little more to stabilize.
Never have tried the RCBS mold, the NOE works well and have not looked farther.
