Hello all, I am new to your sight. I was a member of another site, to polictical for me. I just want to shoot cast Boolits! I load for a number of guns. My main project right now is my 9x57 Mauser. I want a 245-250 gr. GC to shoot in it. Can't seem to find the one I need. Any help out there. I also load 35 REM., 44 mag. 9.3x62, 45/70, 338/06AI, and 22Hornet. I am currently in Iraq imbeded with the Army on the new MRAP program! I can't wait to get home and shoot some cast!

SALUTE!

So, are you IN the Army? If so, then thanks for your service.:bigsmyl2:

Welcome to the madness. Or is it the addiction?

The only one I can help with is the 45/70. Been wringing out a buffalo classic H&R lately, got a few good loads.

Stick around, make yerself at home!:castmine:

.35, 9.3, and 45-70 - Man, have you found a home! You will find a group of crazies (uhh, dedicated casters and shooters) for each cartridge. Lots of information in the archives.

"Imbeded" in the Army. You are, perchance, a journalist? Looking foreward to your posts, if so.

Sounds more like a contract civilian mechanic. No problems with that. I've got several in my Brigade's motorpools here in Kirkuk. He's just a little bit down the road a ways.

Prodigal,
You'll enjoy the site. We keep the politics down in the OT threads. We try to focus on the realities of life and that is casting and shooting the original "Heavy Metal"

Gentlemen, I am a Marine, who is no longer on active duty. I am a BAE Systems, International Technical Specialist. A FSR for the new MRAP, the Caiman variant. I am in Tallil, and will be to the first day of Dec. I was the Chief Instructor for the BAE travel team for sometime, and wished to be in one place and requested a FSR position, and I was at Tallil, and liked the units there. They needed an FSR, so I volinteered for it and got it. I spend my days between five units. I have just needed something to do with the down time we have once in a while. I have been casting and shooting cast boolits most of my life. Just wanted to enjoy other peoples ideas and successes. I hope there are some resources here to be found also!
