yesterday during that FAY storm thing, i desided to cast some 45 acp. i have 3 lee molds that make bullest close enugh they will fit back in each other mold. i noemaly use 2 at a time but took all 3 out. i use a magma 90 lb. bottom pour pot. i have 2 little fans going, one on me the other on the molds. after 45 min casting my normal way of pour mold, let spru cool, cut spru, open mold , dump bullest in box, then lay down mold # 1. pick up mold # 2 then #3 doing the same. i was getting 4 pours per min. i noticed i was waiting about 3 sec. for the spru to cool. i desided to change up things. pour # 1 lay it down, pour # 2 lay it down--# 3. then pick up # 1 poen, dump, and fill. lay it down, pick up # 2--3 doing the same.. this let the spru cool good before i opened it. i now was having 5-6 pours per min. this gave me 1800 bullets per hr. i did check them alone and sa good if not the best i have made. i made 2 sittings of it. let but and hand rest. i aslo put a piece of sheet metal on my table to slide the molds on. just keep playing shuve up with them. spelling is bad but you get the point.

Thats a good run for sure and a great way to redeem the time! I tried using multiple molds, but found I did better using one mold and cooling the sprue on a damp towel. (I got that from one of the other members and found it to work well.) My best was 1,000 125 gr .357 out of a Lee 6 cavity in 40 minutes.

"it may be a while as i need to work on my barn"

NO NO NO, BOOLETS come FIRST so you can :Fire: more

Now that you have figured out how to use more than one mould at a time, it takes top priority. [smilie=w: :kidding:
