I have the lee 185 grain mold for the mosin but I'm casting the 311410 bullet for a friend for his 7.62x39 and I was wondering if it works for mosin as well. I looked in my cast Lyman manual but it wasn't listed so I thought I would ask here. Thanks for your help and support. Nelson.

My 311410 drops at .310 sometimes a little more. Most Mosins run around .312 .313. Just give it a try. Don't run it much more than about 1400 fps.

Exactly what I was going to say; if it falls from the mold fat or you can fatten it up with PC than give it a try at just above mouse fart loads and please keep us posted

Slug the bore. I have bunch Mosin Nagants with .311 or tighter bores (mostly Finns).

Your probably good to go, at least that puts you in the ball park.

Don't go above 1200 FPS, you'll probably be alright. Just a guess, though, 'til you slug the bore. You may end up with a badly leaded barrel.
.3115 would not work in my Mosins.
