View Full Version : Lyman 35864 140gr RN in 9mm?

Curious if anyone has actually tried this bullet in 9x19? I have one of these molds collecting dust but after looking at it for awhile, I think it might run in the 9x19. Heavy but but not too heavy. Grease groove is way down near the base so it could be loaded further out than some other options. There does not look like much of a driving band. It starts to taper pretty quickly. I'm shooting a SW 3566 Limited that has a 9x19 Briley barrel on it or an STI 1911/9mm.

I don't see why it wouldn't work? Load a few up and try them.

I have used a 358212 which is a substantially similar boolit and it works extremely well. Better for me than the 356637.
As you say, it allows for a longer OAL than other boolits.
