I am currently loading 9mm SAR B6P and Beretta carbine for a 132 gr TC bullet using WSF powder.. This mold is no longer produced.

Am considering the Lee 356-125-2R 6 cavity for practice in both guns and wonder what actual weight and diameter your molds cast. Plus the COAL and powder suggestions with a
1000 to 1100 fps velocity in the pistol.

I also have 231, Unique, BE, Red Dot, WST pistol powders.

Thanks

Lee says 1.125 min. this will vary depending on what you're shooting it in.

Here is a link to load data from various sources that can help with your question.

With that bullet I load 4 gr. HP-38/W231 @ 1.100" OAL to fit my guns. I have the 6 cavity and it really cranks them out! Mine drop at .357" and weigh 130 gr. Velocity right around 1000 fps. With Unique or Power Pistol you could get them going a little faster.

That was my first mold and i use that mold all the time for either 9m or 38Special (sized accordingly). I powder coat those and for 9mm I use 4.0-4.2 Hp38/W231 with good results and no leading in my Sig P320 and Taurus G111. RN is the only profile my Taurus would cycle so these work great in compact guns with very steep feeding ramps. I think I crimp at 1.125 I'm at work right now and I dont have my notes with me so this is all from memory. These also make great 38Special rounds under 5.0gr of Hp38/W231. Either way I think that mold is def worth it.

I hadn't consider using this bullet in 38 Special. What's your OAL? Do you crimp just over the ogive?

I find the Lee 356-125-2R to be outstanding in both 38 Spl and .357. I taper crimp this boolit at an OAL of 1.475" for 38 Spl and 1.590" for .357.
