I just got a Marlin 1895 so I'm in need of reloading bits and pieces. Cash or trade, like everybody else I got stuff I can/should part with.

I need:

3 die set,
Boolit mold for heavy flat nose, brown bear/moose loads,
Boolit mold for accurate paper punching on a mellow load,
Empty brass.

I have brass on 30-06, 308, 38spl, 357mag, and a few other calibers. Also have ww lead I'm willing to part with plus other bits and pieces. Got cash, there's something to be said about keeping it simple.

KCSO, I'll take the dies. I'll pm you in a bit.

Kjorgy, I'll pass on the winchester brass. A lot of folks find it works great with BP because of the thinner walls but I don't plan on using that. I may be better off with the thicker walled brass.

Don't load up too many of the bear/moose loads before firing a few. I have an 1895 Marlin Cowboy in .45-70. It does not weight much, and will rattle your teeth with loads from the Trapdoor section. I tried a few from the mid-Marlin section. Pulled most of them. Wow.

Just got 300 reloaded(first load) 45-70s Loaded with 300 and 350 gr jacketed. Started tearing them down yesterday...Loaded with the powder charges marked on the boxes. I also have an 1895 CB version. Yep..it kinda mean on the butt end. Perfect rifle for black timber elk hunting....especially here in grizz country. Let me know if you need any other components 30cents is cheap for once fired

Hornady 45-70 brass is shorter than standard 45-70 brass. Just FYI

Dale, I'll pick yours first. Let me know how much you have.

Is all Hornady shorter? I was at the store the other day and had a chance to put one of them plastic tip bullets next to (I think a federal) bullet and they seemed to be the same size. Bulletbaron, if you could measure your brass and let me know if it is standard or short it would be appreciated.

Now I need molds.

I have a LBT mold that drops a 400 gr. boolit at .460 Dia. which I shoot unsized in my Marlin and 3 other 45-70's. Very accurate. Too OLD to handle this caliber any more. PM if interested.
