Just got a Lee 452-255RF DC mold. I tried casting some straight WW and get a consistant 245 gr bullet give or take .05. Haven't gotten a single one at the 255 gr mark. I cast 44 and 45 Keith bullets from another Lee mold as well as Lyman and RCBS using straight WW and am always within a couple of 10ths of the advertised weight. What am I doing wrong? I am water dropping if that makes a difference. Is there a way to add weight?

What difference does in make? Pure lead is heavier that wwt, so blending in
more pure would bring the wt up and soften the boolit. Can't see what
being 10 gr lighter will harm. Semi random alloys (which we all use some to
all of the time) will vary in density a good bit.

You need to keep in mind that ww alloy can differ from place to place. In all honesty your missing the target weight by 5 grains, as long as the weight is consistant no worries unless you have a power factor to meet.

If it shoots good keep going.
If it don't lead keep going.
If they come out of the mold easy keep going.
If you sense a theme here keep going!
