I just purchased a Nagant revolver and picked up the .32 acp cylinder. I"ve read some threads about casting and reloading for the Nagant but I have a question:

Can I reload for standard .32 acp and use them in this pistol? I've only cast and reloaded for rifles and .45acp so I don't know anything about .32.

Just wondering If standard casting and reloading was all that was necessary with this rig. Anything else I should know?

Thanks guys!

Yes, if you're going to use that cylinder, use standard .32 ACP loads. Of course, you don't have to worry about using a bullet shape that will feed reliably in an auto.

I handload for the 7.62x38R Nagant using cases formed from Starline .32-20 Brass with the special set of Lee dies sold by Midway. Not that hard. I've just bought some Hot Shot 7.62x38R ammo with reloadable full length cases from Century to see how that works out.

Keep us posted Ricochet, going to play with mine when I get the dies, the ammo, from century is good stuff, reliable and decently accurate too. kjg

Still haven't gotten around to shooting any of that new stuff. Shooting time's been pretty scarce lately.

I find the hotshot shoots pretty miserably.

Need to order a shellholder- the one Lee has for the 32/20 brass won't work. Then I'll try reloading some.
