Appears the cartridge photo's are with the wrong headstamp photo's?

The MF FA 83 appears to be 7.62x51 made at the Footscray or Maribyrnong ammunition plant in Australia. The stripper clip on it is of M14 style. Note there is no + with the circle around it because Australia is not a NATO nation.

The 7.9 FS 1941 is 8x57 of Turkish make. Note the neck shoulder area of the cases is not annealed. Many of these necks will split on firing (or when the bullet is pulled) and will give hard bolt lift. It's simply because the cases have become brittle. Many think they are "high pressure" but they are not. They are loaded to German specifications and give 2850 - 2900+ fps depending on barrel length. I have pressure tested numerous lots of this Turkish milsurp and none are over pressure (CIP standards) for the 8x57 cartridge.

You caught it :) I put them the correct way for posterity.

They were in this pouch when I got them.
