Who is the guy that bores and relines muzzle loader barrels?

This TC New Englander was done by Bob Hoyt, a .54 changed to .458 bore diameter.

Another +1 for Bob Hoyt - he has had a fine reputation for years for the quality work he does - if I were to have on re=bored or relined - he would be my first choice. I know a number who have had them re-do rifled musket barrels and they swear by him.

Bob Hoyt. He's done several barrels for me and he is a wizard. Honest, too.

I'm threatening to send him a Pedersoli 1816 flinter for a rifled barrel or else a relining. It's got a really sweet trigger pull.

Picked up a replacement rear band for it to mount the rear sight on.
Reckon I should decide upon caliber, twist and rifling geometry and do that.

T.J.'s makes liners in 45 and 50 for muzzle loaders. Problem with installing a liner in a muzzle loader is the breach plug threads. Some liners may be larger than the threads.

bobby hoyt is my go-to barrel man, and he's freshed out many for me. of the recent last two, one was a jack garner .36 to .40 and the other an investarms .50 to .54 - bobby is a master barrel smith!
