I like this bullet and I was hoping to discover what mold they use to make it. Possibly the lyman 452424? Thanks for your help

That would be a good choice, that bullet from Missouri Bullet is a bevel based bullet most likely from a Magma mold.
I have an old Lyman mold 454424 and a newer mold from NOE 454-255 (454242). Both are plain base and shoot lights out.
I got the NOE with HP pins and flat pins.

I know the bb makes them drop easier, what do you gain with the flat base?

I think you get a better gas seal. You can send Tom @ Accurate a bullet and he will cut you an exact copy.
You tell him what alloy you will be using and the diameter you want it to fall from the mold.
All this at a fair price and in about two weeks.

BB bullets where basically the invention of cast machine users; the flat based bullets would hang up in the machine molds and cause havoc. Some say BB bullets load easier so you don't have to bevel your brass as much.

The flat bottom when cast out of the correct alloy hardness for what you are trying to accomplish will seal better then a bevel bottom. Magma does sell the same molds in flat bottom and for a couple bucks more will drill them for RCBS handles.
