Hello Folks. Does anyone here know if the shell lifter for a 44-40 will work in a 38-40? Thanks.

IDK, but it should, since they're share the same basic case.

AFAIK, The Winchester Model 1892/92's in those two chambering share the same internals.

Same case and same OAL, I believe? Sounds very doable.

Thanks guys. I Hoped it would work because the two are so close to one another. I think waiting for parts on this rebuild is gonna be long drawn out. Lol.
