Haven't posted in a while to much stuff going on. Anyway there was someone on here selling PIDs ready to go. I looked a little couldn't find them? Are they still building them or do I have to build my own??

Thanks!

I have one from OB111. Its a nice unit and he's a good guy to deal with.

Not a hard thing to do. I have an instruction manual I can send to you. Then buy your components off Ebay. I think my last one ran about $50-60 for parts. PM me if interested.

With a bit of aptitude they are not hard to build. I have managed to put 2 together. Sad the OB is no longer with us.

Check out johnny's reloading bench on you tube, he has a parts list and several how to videos to build a PID, its not as nifty as OBDIII used to make but they work well

If you don't find one before you go to flea-bay I have a couple that I'm willing to trade made by Deputy Dog before he up and disappeared???
I'm needing bullets,j words for a 7mm-08 light to mid weight for this caliber.I prefer Hornady 139grow 154gr.SST,A-max but I'll use others to

Easy. On Egay, look for a "PID temperature controller". Will be a black square face digital thing about $24. Then, look for "SSR-25 24v-380v" which will set you back $5. Lastly, look for a "type k thermocouple 100mm" which will also be about $5. I run the Lee melting pot heating element off of the output of the SSR. The input of the SSR is driven by the PID, which itself uses the tiny temperature-dependent voltage from the Type-K thermocouple. Be sure to get one with a 100mm stainless steel sleeve. Heck, I use my thermocouple probe to stir lead :D

The SSR acts as a high-side switch (SPST). It's not hard to figure out although it's good to start with a circuit diagram and work off of that.

Beware of Chinese clone PIDs on eBay.
