That dog can teach us things.

You can tell at a glance that dog is humble. He's not building himself up.
You can tell he loves. He loves that little boy.
I suspect that dog things that little boy is worried about something.
And that dog aims to do something about it. Its too big for him, but he knows the guy who can fix anything.

I think God put dogs here for several reasons. Not least of which is to remind us to LOVE!

Defend your family at need, live life every day to the fullest. And love like there is no tomorrow. Give it all you got.

That is a good dog right there. And that boy will grow up to be a better man because of him. Yeah, big guy upstairs, he knows what he's doin.

ya know dogs and some animals in general
are a lot smarter than they get credit for
some dogs have it over some people I have
had the pleasure of meeting

Something I read a while back: "God gave us dogs to teach us the meaning on unconditional love." GW

Only one thing wrong with dogs, they don't live long enough.

They are truly a gift from God!

best pic I've seen in a long time.

Oh, if only the world could go back to celebrating that kind of unconditional love and sweet innocence.

Thanks, Grmps! Great post! I've long wondered just where dogs stand in God's eyes. They truly are special! No animal has ever taken so symbiotically to mankind as has the dog. Somewhere in there, there's GOT to be some supernatural element involved! How? Don't ask me. All I know is I sense something in dogs I don't sense anywhere else. Call me silly, or worse, but that's the truth. For one thing, they're the only animal I know that consistently shows unconditional love, the way Christ encouraged us to do, and so often fail to obey.

Dogs are and will always be very special creatures, possibly, right behind us willful humans in God's eyes?
