I fired up my H&G 2C #50 today. I've had it for a couple of weeks but hadn't gotten around to really using it till today. That cam action sprue plate took a bit to get used to. It's not as fast as I'm used to because I haven't figured out how to open it with my thumb yet.

I had to really get the mold temp up to get good boolits, but man, once it's hot those wadcutters are perfect. The bases wouldn't fill out till it was hot and I really didn't want to open up the top of the mold. The blocks fit together so well you can't see the seam. I didn't want to put a stone to that mold. But once it got hot.....MAN!

I've also got a 4C 68 and a 4C 130. I've got a friend who has a few more for me when he can locate them. Supposedly a 4C #50, a 4C 9mm mold and a 4C that he says throws a 130-135 gr .358 SWC. I have a feeling I'll be selling some Lyman molds when I get those additional H&G molds.

I don't own a 2 cavity but my 4 cavities are a joy to cast with. So much so that I'm on an active hunt for four more. They knew how to build a mold. I cast at 735º with mine.
