I would like to use Hodgdon Hi-Skor 700-X powder (as I have quite a bit of it) with 150 grain semi wad cutter cast bullets in 9mm Luger cases and have not found any load data. Anyone been there and done that? Thanks.

Hodgdon website has one load for 9mm Luger with 147 gr. bullet and 700-x.

The closest I have is in Lyman's Cast Bullet manual, it lists a 147 grain lead bullet at 2.7 grains of 700X. Looked on Hodgdons online data and they list the same bullet at 2.6 grains of 700X. Both of these are starting loads and both list 2.9 grains of 700X as the max load. Google Hodgdon and you'll get hits for their data pages. Couldn't find a 150 grain bullet. FWIW

Might want to dig out the load data books, more than one, and do some reading/research. Be safe.

147 vs 150, use the starting 147gr data & work up.

the swc is more likely to take up more room in the case.
I would back off to about 2 grains and work towards 3 as my maximum.

I found free books from Lyman and Lee online in pdf format. Think they might have what you want.

carlwil,
welcome to the forum.
150gr SWC is a choice I probably wouldn't make for 9mm.
Maybe share with us more info on this boolit and why you choose it and what gun you want to cycle it through. Have you made some dummy rounds to see if your gun will reliably cycle it?

If you are new to loading 9mm with boolits, here is a good read.

I assumed you were going to use the SWC's in a revolver.
I tried 150 and 155 SWC's that were meant for 38/357 revolvers and they had feeding issues and took up a lot of case room, I gave up on those. The exception is the Lee 358-105-SWC , it is more of a truncated cone than SWC , is short so it doesn't seat deeply in the case and works great in 9 mm semi-auto's.
