A while back I saw a thread on using Lyman or rcbs type size dies in a push through method, where someone fabricated a die for such procedures. I was wanting to see if someone could make one for me? Our family machine shop is just too swamped for them to take the time to make one.

Here's the old thread. Not sure if he is still making these.

He had access to CNC machines, a one off would be considerably higher price!

A lee collet die body will hold the sizer die.
.you use hardware store parts to hold it in.you also need to make or buy Lee push though rods for you she'll holder.
We used to use them 20 years back,I can't remember all the details. It was in an article in.the Fouling Shot CBA magazine on making bump dies.

I was going take a lee push rod and cut it off and thread it and then have different size threaded rods to fit the one push through

I bought two sets, so I have one that I am not using. Let me verify what I have for sure. I know one was complete with 4 or 5 pushrods, not sure on the second. I paid $65 shipped for my full set with pushrods and pickup bottle adapter.

Does it seat gas checks as well? Their web site doesn't give much information for the item. it says you need to buy bushings and rods. They show a bunch of bushings but no rods?!?!!?

The NOE product doesn't take standard lubesizer dies. It takes the NOE bushings.

The rods are in the bushing area. Click what size bushing you need and the rods are listed there.

So, one answer is to check out the Lee Collet die, figure how to fasten a lyman size die inside, or use a up-side-down press, then fastening wouldn't be an issue. Buy push rods from NOE. That should work.

If you give me a schematic or good pictures I can machine you one up for a minimal cost as long as it's pretty simple. But I won't be home till around October so that's if you are willing to wait.

Check the article: Nose First Bullet Sizing on Castpics. Pretty easy to fabricate one from a Lyman 7/8 X 14 adapter if you have a few tinkering skills./beagle

Ya that guy was "theperfessor". Extremely talented and helpful guy. He made me some parts for me and charged next to nothing. Unfortunately some dufus managed to drive him away from this forum.

I someone could contact "theperfessor" and get the CNC program for the dies that should simplify matters.
