beagling size

If a mould dropped a boolit say... .264, would it be possible, through beagling, to drop at say..... .268, or .270? What is the max benefit to be gained from beagling a mould?

you can open the mold as far as you want till it makes a big mess when you pour.
but you are only going one direction with the size.
i would think 3-4 thou is as big as you are gonna get.
or i would use my 7mm mold for my 308 and 8mm.

I've taken a 7MM (.285) to .291 beagelin, they were cast a 750°, had some small fins but they scraped off easly.
