I like the machine guns particularly.
I wonder if he casts and reloads? :?:

It would take a lifetime to shoot all of them.

I'm glad they didn't try to put any political spin on it when they wrote that article.
Hard to get the purple on my phone, sorry.

I know it sounds like blasphemy to many but that gun collection leaves me cold. If by some twist of fate I were to become owner of those weapons I couldn't sell them fast enough. If I were called upon to fight for whatever reason, I would certainly choose one and show up for the fight but stamped metal and plastic stocks are not and never will be my collectables. My safe is filled with beautiful single shot rifles and nothing gives me a bigger thrill than hitting a steel gong at a long distance with a large lead bullet and hear the sound come back to me. To each his own I guess.

This world sure would be boring if we were all alike.

Yup....you like the gong......and there is nothing like ripping off a 250 round belt without letting up. Nothing like dumping a full magazine trigger down. There is nothing like an MG42 at about 1300 rounds per minute.....or a MAC 380 at about 1200 rounds per minute.....or a suppressed Uzi.....or an M16....
That full auto grin does not go away for a week.
To each their own.

Notice that they start right off with a lie, "America where it is believed there is two guns for every person."
You can believe anything you want just don't lie about it.

You don't believe there are 700 million guns in America? I sure do.

If that is true and there are seven hundred million guns in America, and I'm not saying it isn't, how can the manufactures keep selling more? You would think that at some point the market would be satisfied, after all we don't wear them out and throw them away like we do cars or other appliances. If we are only supposed to have two guns each, I have way more than my allotment and so do many of my friends.

The estimate is slightly more than one for every person. 700 million is a stretch. 350 million is a high end estimate. There really is no way we will ever know. Bit I personally don't believe it's two for every person.

Personally I think that it might be a LOW estimate. Here is why: it is said that half of all households have guns. Many (most?) of those half own more than one. Many own numerous guns. Personally I can cover about 15 or those homes that don't have guns.
I don't think i am all that unusual....although there are many that would disagree.

Reasonable number if you ask me. Collectors of ANYTHING tend to add one or two a year -live to be my age and that would cover triple digits worth of people.

I don't think I know anyone with just ONE firearm. I know a lot with none but most people have at least 2, a .22 rifle and some sort of shotgun is more common

My itch to own military type or style weaponry kind of ends at the M1A. My latest GI type firearm is a Garand and that doesn't even resemble one in original military dress.

Wouldn't mind someday having a AR platform, but something put together for ranges out to 1,000 yards.
