I posted on a popular forum about a good load with cast bullets that I shoot through my 9 mm AR 15. There was a quick response about how the next thread would be how to get the lead out of my barrel. It was obvious that he had not shot many cast bullets, especially those which were powder coated. You just don't seem to get that sort of cute response on this sight, and I appreciate that. A little of such goes a long way, at least to me!

Welcome to Cast Boolits! I have to agree, this is a great collection of folks with the knowledge to answer just about any question you can have on any subject. Things are pretty civil here.

Welcome aboard! It does happen on rare occasions, even though we cast our own, we are still human![smilie=l:

They'd really lose it if you went back and told them we shoot cast PC (powder coated) HT (Hi-Tek coated) bullets all day long in out 223's:cbpour:

Welcome. I would guess there are a lot of adults here with a sprinkling of Crusty Old Fa&!# and know the meaning of respect. I don't remember getting flamed or mocked even with my stupid questions (yep, I believe there are stupid questions).

Yes, boolits is the correct spelling for cast projectiles...

Not only good people but if you did have a leading issue you would have several people to give you solutions to help fix it.

The only place that gets testy is the Pit. It is monitored.

I have been shooting cast boolits since I can't remember. At the range, you hear the 1950 argument about leading and inaccurate ammo.
I just say, well, I make all of them by myself, one by one.

Welcome. Its impossible to get answers if you know you're going to be mocked for asking a question. I try to figure things out myself, and sometimes that works, but sometimes I end up asking for help after many frustrating hours. I enjoy learning about all things firearms and ammo related.

Some here have a dry sense of humor, me included. However, I'd be willing to bet that no one here will knowingly steer you wrong.

Since I started casting, I have saved tens of thousands of dollars. And it only cost me hundreds of thousands of dollars to do it.
