Very well done by the both of you. You have a lot to be proud of.

I always wanted to be one of the few that could celebrate such longevity. Always listened to Paul Harvey and marveled at the many years of marriage. I just was not good enough to my first wife to make that happen. I think I learned a bit and am doing better this time around. But alas, not enough sand in the glass to make a real big number. I am just working on quality this time.

Congratulations on an accomplishment that in these times does not get the recognition it deserves.

My first and second wife were more interested in themselves than us. Third time was a charm. Mrs. smokeywolf is one the finest and most unselfish people I've ever met. Not a day goes by that I don't try to think of a new way or another way to make her happier.

Congratulations and God bless you both! My wife and I were both 19 when we got married 45 years ago and the same was said to us . . . . marriage is like a job - you have to work at it - with love and respect for your spouse and put their needs before yours. You and your wife are shining examples of the way it was meant to be - congrats and enjoy your special day!

My parents just had their 60th and I feel bad as I thought they were at 59 and planned to do something special. My brothers and I did do them right on their 50th. If you have parents in this range, you are blessed, cherish them and be thankful for such a beautiful gift from God.

My folks will celebrate 57 this year.

My wife and I just had our 29th, hard to believe it's been that long. It isn't always easy, but it is pretty simple; you both have to have your minds made up that you're going to make things work.

Congrats!!!!!! My DW and I have 46 years this year and I just turned 65 she was a cougar a year older than me. We have been a couple since Sophomore year high school. Some teen marriages do stay the course.

My wife and I celebrated our 29th today. When we were talking to the waitress, we told her exactly that. "You both have to have your minds made up that you're going to make things work."

Congratulations it's only 34 for me. How is it possible that one thing you do in your life can be both the best thing that you ever did, in addition to being the hardest job you'll ever have? That being said, I wouldn't change a thing!

Making good choices makes it easier, but it's what you make of it. Congrats to all the long timers and those on their way.
At 22 I had no idea what lay ahead, but 54 years later I realize it was meant to be.

Mrs smoked turkey and I want to congratulate you guys on a real accomplishment. I remember what Paul Harvey used to say after he read of couples who had made it a long time. He said. "Their not all slip knots". You have each found a wonderful treasure. May the Lord continue to bless you.

BTW

my parents made it to their 65th Aniversary before Dad passed. Mom made it 13 more years without him. She had diabetes and MS for over 40 years in a wheelchair, and finally surcomed to undiagnosed cancer at 92.
They both had close relatives that lived past 100. Mom's Sister was still driving at 97 and lived to see 104.
Don't think I'll make it that far.
