I've been replaced at my job because I am too heavy (really!). So to pay some bills, I am forced to sell some of my stuff. It is impossible for me to decide between these two rifles so I will leave it up to whichever one sells first. I am only selling one of these for now. You decide which. $775 shipped to your dealer from a private individual for either one. They will be shipped in a hard case for protection.

First is a Ruger #3 in 22 hornet. Have had the gun for years but barely got to shoot it. Beautiful trigger pull and quite accurate with the factory loads I tried. Not so great with the 55 grain RCBS boolits I tried but I didn't experiment with it at all. Only real flaw is in the forearm wood near the front sight. See pictures.

Next up is an original Ruger 44 carbine. This one came from the factory with the Williams receiver sight. I forget the model designation but it was a factory option. When I got the rifle it would jam often because it needed a good cleaning. I took it down and thoroughly cleaned it, now it runs like a Swiss watch. One scratch on the barrel that has been cold blued and the muzzle has some blueing loss. See pictures.

Sorry to hear about your misfortune.

Interesting peep sight on the carbine.

Being poor really sucks. Maybe I should quit visiting the swapping and selling section

Yup I have to agree. I spent about $350 on the five guns I acquired in the past 3 years and now I am pretty much done being able to buy them. I will however purchase one more gun before I die. It will be a single shot 45/70. When I find a good one very cheap (my a miracle from God) I will buy it. I would love to paper patch and PC for that gun.

If the carbine came with that sight from the factory, then it is the "RS" version.
