I have a Remington RB #5 that is 7x57. I shot it years ago before I knew anything about slugging barrels and casting my own boolits. I just recently dug it out of my safe and was checking it out. I thought the barrel was corroded and it turns out, it was just never cleaned very well and the grooves were loaded up. I thoroughly cleaned it and the rifling looks really good now and no corroded areas like I thought there were. Anyway, I shot some j-word bullets in it and it did not shoot that well and key holed. I slugged it today and it was .2864. I do not have a mold right now and need some boolits that are close to this diameter. If anyone has some boolits that are .286-.288, I would like to buy a few or trade for some so I can try before buying a mold. If you have some boolits, let me know and I have lots of .358 cast boolits or .451, .452 boolits I could trade. If no trade is wanted, let me know what 20 boolits or so would cost me. Thanks.

I have just what you need. I cast a NOE mold for my old VZ24 in 7X57.

Unfortunately I don't have any cast right now. I plan on casting one evening this week if you can wait.

They drop from my mold at .292". I then gas check and size them to .290". My bore slugs at .287" and these bullets shoot like lasers.

If that sounds okay I would be happy to cast some up for you. I can leave them as cast and unlubed if you prefer.

sqhart3578, thanks. That would be great. Right now, I do not have a sizing dies, except for a .284. I must have had a mold years ago, but I cannot find it. I bet it did not cast greater than .285 though. Yeah, if you could size me some .290's I would greatly appreciate it and can buy them or at least pay you back for the postage.
