View Full Version : Troubleshooting Bullets freshly cast

Somewhere I have seen a chart that tells the thing to do should you have different kinds of results making bullets. I remember it saying if your bullet looks like ... do this. Things like if you get this result your mold is too cold or if the bullet looks like then add more tin to your alloy or if your bullet is to hard add .... I've searched but I can't find it.

Anybody know where it might be? I am sure it would be very handy to many people.

Damaged boolit base - toss back in pot
incompletely filled out boolit - toss back in pot (rounded rather than sharp edges)

Download the Fryxell book. It is the bible for casting and I refer to it often.
